There are places that stay with you long after the journey ends - and for me, Azerai Ke Ga Bay in Vietnam became one of those places.
From the very first moment we arrived, everything felt effortless. After landing in Ho Chi Minh City, the boys and I were greeted by a private driver from the resort. The heat and energy of the city slowly faded as we settled into the car with cold drinks, fresh fruit, and cookies waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful welcome, and somehow it perfectly set the tone for everything that followed.
The drive itself felt like a transition into another world. Busy streets turned into open roads, palm trees swayed in the warm breeze, and little by little the pace of life softened. By the time we arrived at Azerai Ke Ga Bay, I already felt calmer.
And then we saw the resort.
Beautiful architecture, quiet elegance, tropical gardens, and the ocean stretching endlessly in front of us. The entire place felt peaceful in a way that is difficult to describe - luxurious without trying too hard, sophisticated yet deeply connected to nature.
We stayed in our own apartment-style villa with a private terrace, a stunning bathroom, and a swimming pool just steps outside our door. Waking up there each morning felt surreal. Some mornings began slowly with coffee on the terrace while listening to birds and the gentle sound of water nearby. Other mornings started with yoga and movement before breakfast, surrounded by warm air and palm trees.
The resort itself had several beautiful pool areas, each with its own atmosphere. One was hidden within a lush tropical garden, almost like a secret oasis. The other overlooked the sea, where the horizon seemed endless and the sunsets painted everything in soft gold and pink.
What I remember most, though, is how we felt there.
Present.
No rushing. No stress. Just long days filled with swimming, training, yoga, incredible food, and time together. The staff made us feel genuinely cared for from beginning to end. Every detail was thoughtful, every interaction warm and sincere.
And then there was the food.
Fresh seafood, vibrant herbs, tropical fruit, beautiful Vietnamese flavors - every meal felt like an experience in itself. But one dish became unforgettable to me: the pomelo salad. I still think about it. Fresh, fragrant, perfectly balanced between sweet, sour, salty, and crisp.
There was something deeply restorative about this place. Maybe it was the rhythm of the ocean, the stillness, the beauty of the architecture, or simply having uninterrupted time together as a family. Whatever it was, Azerai Ke Ga Bay gave us something more than a holiday. It gave us space to breathe.

Some places impress you.
Others stay in your heart.
This one did both.
